SATURDAY ONLY ~ "Sacred Rhythm: Walking the Balanced Path"
A Weekend Mini-Retreat of Ayurveda & Yoga
Retreat facilitators: Kashika Singh & Julie Madewell
Saturday Only Date:
July 19, 2025 (2:00pm - 6:00pm)
Location:
Unity of Bloomington, 4001 South Rogers St, Bloomington, IN 47403
Your Saturday Retreat Experience
Spend your Saturday exploring the foundations of Ayurveda and yoga in a calm, supportive setting.
This retreat day introduces key concepts in seasonal wellness, daily self-care, and gentle movement practices designed to help you reconnect with your body’s natural rhythms. Through shared experiences and hands-on learning, you’ll begin to build tools for balance and well-being you can take into daily life. Over the course of the afternoon, you’ll:
Learn the basics of Ayurveda, an ancient system of holistic wellness, including how different body-mind types (called doshas) respond to the seasons—and how to eat and care for yourself in ways that support balance in summer.
Savor a comforting chai ritual and reflect on how slowing down, sharing food, and resting in community can be sacred acts of nourishment.
Explore the roots of yoga philosophy and meditation, and how they offer simple tools for calming the mind and connecting inward.
Try gentle breathing practices (pranayama) and enjoy a slow, accessible yoga session designed to help you feel cool, calm, and at ease in the heat of summer.
No prior experience with yoga or Ayurveda is needed—just a willingness to slow down, listen inward, and be in community.
Your registration includes:
Full-day retreat programming
Nourishing snacks and refreshments
A packet of printed materials and handouts to take home
NOTE: Please bring your own yoga mat, water bottle, and wear comfy clothes.*
